Black Wolf

omg, an actual [somewhat] seriously colored piece? AMAZEMENT!

I actually did this while going through the "fun" of trying to get World of Warcraft to work. [having to uninstall and reinstall everything from the ground up three times in one day is not fun. at all.]

As for the pic? As dumb as it may sound, I've always had this crazy connection with wolves. I love 'em to bits, but think it's more than simply "omg lol dey r awzum!1" Black wolves especially. I don't know why that is, but that's how I feel... it's very... hard to explain. Especially since I'll have random reoccuring dreams involving a black wolf. Nothing menacing or bad, if anything it's either roaming endlessly or trying to protect me, or both. Go figure.

Spirit guide? Animal totem? My sub conscience gone insane? Who knows! But I felt compelled to try and draw up my "companion", as it were. It took a few hours, and a bit of experimentation in painter. The oil brush tools are insanely fun. And for anyone curious, I did the fur in various color layers to help "build up" the coloration and texture to it.
